About The Position

Mitchell College is conducting a search for an Administrative Coordinator for Student Success to provide essential administrative, operational, and project management support to the Division of Student Success. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Student Success and Innovation (VPSS&I), this position ensures the efficient operation of divisional initiatives that advance student success, retention, and persistence. This role supports the coordination and execution of key programs and processes that strengthen student engagement and contribute to a Beloved Community where all students feel a sense of belonging and support. The position also supports the integration of the Mitchell College Abilities framework by helping align operations, assessment, and programming with institutional learning and development outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of experience in administrative support, project management, or higher education.
  • Experience with data collection, reporting, and assessment practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to learn new systems.
  • Commitment to student success, retention, persistence, and inclusive excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field.
  • Experience in higher education, student affairs, or student success environments.
  • Familiarity with student information and engagement systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Advocate, Residence, Unihub).
  • Experience supporting grant writing or research projects.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with learning differences and/or neurodiverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Student Success office; Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, prepare correspondence, and coordinate divisional communications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, families, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for senior leadership and Board of Trustees meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all communications.
  • Develop and track project plans, timelines, and deliverables aligned with student success, retention, and persistence goals.
  • Support divisional initiatives that promote student engagement, belonging, and completion.
  • Assist with grant writing, research, and proposal development.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support assessment, planning, and decision-making.
  • Support data collection and reporting related to student success, retention, and persistence outcomes.
  • Assist with program assessment aligned with Institutional mission and priorities.
  • Maintain and update institutional systems and platforms (e.g., Blackbaud, Advocate, Residence, Unihub, Career tools).
  • Support preparation of reports for division.
  • Serve as Intake Coordinator for student concerns and support resolution processes.
  • Serve as Commuter Student Liaison and advisor to the Commuter Student Association.
  • Support planning and coordination of major campus events, including Honors and Awards and Commencement.
  • Maintain divisional calendars and student leader records in collaboration with VPSS&I.
  • Contribute to initiatives that foster belonging, engagement, and student persistence within a Beloved Community.
  • Assist with oversite and operations of the campus mailroom.
  • Support coordination of the Mitchell College Fellowship Program.
  • Oversee Divisional Work-study and student workers
  • Process financial documents, requisitions, payment requests, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Support updates to the College Course Catalog, Code of Conduct, and related institutional publications.
  • Process personnel action forms and coordinate payroll-related updates.
  • Serve on institutional committees and working groups supporting student success and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with campus partners on cross-functional projects that enhance student outcomes.
  • Maintain a visible and engaged presence across campus in support of a positive student experience.
