About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator, Readiness and Instructional Technology Integration supports the Director, Educational Technology and Innovation in leading the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of District-wide educational technology initiatives to strengthen teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This role advances innovative, equitable, and responsible uses of technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital citizenship, computer science, esports, and educational technology integration by ensuring alignment to curriculum, instructional frameworks, and the District’s teaching and learning priorities. The administrative coordinator leads cross-functional collaboration to ensure that technology use is safe, purposeful, and empowering within instructional contexts, supporting high-quality teaching practices, meaningful student engagement, and measurable academic outcomes, while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across the District.

Requirements

  • At least eight (8) years of successful, full-time public school service in a certificated position(s), with no fewer than two (2) years of which must have been in a position(s) requiring the Administrative Services Credential
  • A valid California Administrative Services Credential
  • An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard conferred by a regionally-accredited college or university
  • Completion of required Multicultural Education and Master Plan coursework
  • Letter of intent that describes qualifications for this position and successful experience in the following areas: Planning and delivering high-impact professional learning and leading the intentional integration of technology (including AI and emerging tools) to strengthen standards-aligned instruction, deepen student engagement, and improve measurable learning outcomes in core content areas
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging educational technology systems, including digital platforms, AI-enabled tools, and data systems to support effective teaching and learning with attention to data privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible, instructionally-sound implementation
  • Leading and coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance instructional priorities, engaging diverse stakeholders, and using data to monitor implementation, evaluate impact on teaching and learning, and continuously improve programs

Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of District-wide educational technology and innovation initiatives, including AI integration, digital citizenship, computer science, esports, and emerging technologies, with a focus on intentional integration into curriculum, instructional practices, and student learning outcomes
  • Translates and implements policies and resolutions related to educational technology into coherent student-focused instructional programs, guidance, and classroom practices
  • Collaborates with legal, procurement, Information Technology Services (ITS), and other District teams to ensure the responsible, ethical, and secure use of digital tools, with a focus on how these systems and tools enable high-quality instruction and equitable access to learning
  • Leads the vetting and evaluation of digital tools and AI-powered platforms in alignment with District approval processes, ensuring their instructional relevance, alignment to learning standards, and effective integration into teaching and learning
  • Provides training, support, supervision, and evaluation of Instructional Technology Initiative/EdTech Innovation specialists and facilitators to deliver high-quality professional learning, coaching, and support that strengthens classroom practice through effective technology integration
  • Coordinates the support, monitoring, and evaluation of all school readiness and implementation efforts, including enforcement of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to educational technology
  • Collaborates with ITS, the Division of Instruction, and other offices to ensure infrastructure and systems are designed to support access to high-quality instructional materials, digital content, and effective teaching practices across schools
  • Ensures that all students and staff receive training on device use, digital tools, and online safety, framed within the construct of digital citizenship and responsible participation in digital learning environments
  • Coordinates ongoing District-wide professional learning and educational technology initiatives that support schools in the intentional, standards-aligned integration of digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning
  • Develops and monitors performance and impact measures to evaluate the impact of instructional technology integration on teaching practice, student engagement, and academic outcomes across regions and schools
  • Coordinates support for schools, in collaboration with regions, to implement guidance for the effective and purposeful use of technology within instructional programs and classroom practice
  • Drives coordination across the Instructional Technology Initiative/EdTech Innovation, region administrators, and key divisions (e.g., Office of the General Counsel, School Operations, IT Security, Asset Management, and Facilities), to ensure alignment of systems, resources, and policies in service of instructional priorities and student learning
