About The Position

The Technology Integration and Instructional Coach is responsible for fostering the professional growth of teachers through a transformational coaching approach while leading the seamless integration of technology into the curriculum. This role serves as a non-evaluative partner to faculty, providing personalized support to improve teacher practice and student learning. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of deep pedagogical expertise and high-level technical proficiency, acting as a bridge between the technology department and the academic program to ensure the integrity of the student learning experience.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 years of successful teaching experience preferred, with specific training and experience in leading educational technology adoption and implementation and coaching or mentoring peers.
  • Deep familiarity with educational hardware and software, specifically Google Classroom and Chromebooks, and proficiency in analyzing instructional data.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, with comfort in designing and leading professional learning.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, develop an equity-centered mindset, and effectively multitask projects independently and within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Google Educator Level II certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support educators in designing developmentally appropriate, interdisciplinary STEAM lessons that enhance student learning, incorporating tools such as robotics kits (e.g., LEGO SPIKE Essentials, Dash, Cubelets).
  • Support the integration and effective use of LMS platforms (Blackbaud, Google Classroom, Seesaw), including training and onboarding for students, faculty, and families, as well as app integrations.
  • Partner with teachers and students to deliver interdisciplinary STEAM learning experiences, including co-designing and facilitating lessons that integrate engineering design, creative problem-solving, and hands-on robotics, while promoting digital citizenship and responsible technology use.
  • Provide implementation and troubleshooting support for SK–8 devices (Chromebooks and iPads) and curriculum-aligned applications (e.g., Amplify, IXL, Discovery Education), ensuring reliable classroom integration.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between faculty and the technology department and collaborate with leadership to advance the school’s educational technology vision.
  • Engage teachers in reflection and refinement of teaching practices through in-depth conversations, observing instructional practices, and examining student work and data.
  • Demonstrate best practice instruction by modeling lessons, co-planning curricula, and co-teaching lessons with faculty.
  • Promote teacher leadership by facilitating PLCs and leading teams in assessing and aligning curriculum vertically.
  • Provide ongoing individual and group professional learning that expands teachers’ understanding of classroom management, content expertise, and assessment.
  • Assist with testing and use data analysis to help teachers plan for instruction.
  • Meet regularly with teachers new to the school to ensure embedded support of the academic program and related tools.
  • Recommend resources and share research on emerging trends in both pedagogy and instructional technology.
