About The Position

This position provides administrative support for the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery. This position coordinates office functions and special events as well as providing purchasing & accounting functions with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff services, interoffice activities, schedules, programs and related administrative needs.
  • Administers/prepares reports, minutes, correspondence, lectures and administrative materials required for the direction of the department.
  • Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, including regulatory records for license, reports and notifications as necessary.
  • Evaluates and recommends purchasing sources.
  • Assists with telephone problems and works with vendors to establish and verify terms and agreements.
  • Processes department bills and invoices including securing approvals in accordance with research compliance policies.
  • Assists with visitors questions and needs.
  • Coordinates planning and execution of departmental events, meetings, and special programs, including logistics, scheduling, and on-site support.
  • Manages event communications, invitations, RSVP tracking, and attendee coordination to ensure seamless participation and engagement.
  • Oversees event budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of materials, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality execution.
  • Prepares event materials such as agendas, presentations, and post-event summaries, including tracking outcomes and feedback.
