About The Position

The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is committed to protecting the public by providing safe and effective individualized services to youth who will become productive, law-abiding citizens. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Administrative Coordinator 4 to support business operations with a focus on property control and asset management. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating procurement and transfers, and ensuring compliance with state property regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of state systems, and a commitment to operational excellence in a mission-driven environment. We’re looking for a dependable professional with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional administrative support.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
  • Must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c)
  • Possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License
  • Clear a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manages property control & fleet — Oversees inventory, surplus, vehicle maintenance, logs, compliance, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Maintains inventory systems — Updates databases, prepares certification reports, and supports LPAA/OJJ audits.
  • Coordinates maintenance work orders — Enters and tracks preventive, routine, and emergency repairs; prepares reports for leadership.
  • Provides administrative support — Types agendas and correspondence, schedules meetings, prepares materials, and manages filing systems.
  • Handles purchasing & procurement — Creates requisitions, gathers vendor info, processes LaCarte transactions, maintains procurement files, and ensures compliance.
  • Processes receiving & documentation — Receives purchases electronically, submits payment documentation, and monitors consumables inventory.
  • Supports communication & problem-solving — Works with OJJ Financial Services, and State Purchasing to resolve issues and support policy updates.
