Join our team at Florida Parishes Human Services Authority as an Administrative Coordinator 4 and play a vital role in supporting quality behavioral health services by ensuring accurate billing, maximizing revenue recovery, and helping our agency continue serving the community! This position is domiciled in Hammond, Louisiana, and is in our Fiscal Division.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Biller for the Fiscal Billing Section with responsibility for the daily and on-going recovery of all available revenue for behavioral health and medical services provided in an effort to maximize collections and eliminate duplication of payment and possible fraud.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory guidelines (Medicaid, Medicare, Federal Block Grants, Affordable Care Act, HIPPA, etc.), CARF accreditation standards and agency policies and procedures for billing activities.
  • Prepares and submits claims and appeals in a timely manner.
  • Reviews documents for accuracy.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, Federal, State, and HIPPA regulations, and third party payer contract guidelines.
  • Performs various clerical duties.
