About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division, classified as Administrative Associate II. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of our greatest asset – OUR EMPLOYEES. This temporary role is located at 1417 N Church St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804 in Nash County, with the Department of Transportation. The hourly rate of pay is $17.25, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system support to a wide range of stakeholders including AAMVA, NC DIT, DCIU, Driver License Help Desk, State Highway Patrol officers, DMV administrative staff and other participating states via telephone and the unit service account.
  • Deliver driver license research data and reporting services to Driver Services administrative staff and various sections within the Division of Motor Vehicles.
  • Utilize SADLS, NDR, CDLIS, PDPS, RDLIS, and/or SPEXS.
  • Perform a range of office duties including but not limited to reviewing customer records, processing reports, and emailing other states for assistance with S2S records.
