About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division, classified as Administrative Associate II. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This specific role supports the Health Services Regulations Section’s functions and operations. It involves frequent contact with customers (applicants) via phone and email, filing of physical and electronic documents, data entry, and other assigned tasks. The position is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh - Wake County, with the Department of Health & Human Services. The hourly rate of pay is $15.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Processing applications in the agency's database
  • Verifying continuing education hours
  • Checking to ensure applicants are in good standing
  • Ensuring applications are complete
  • Filing of physical and electronic documents produced and received by ACLS in the file room and electronic files
  • Data entry
  • Other tasks as assigned
