The North Carolina Early Intervention Section (NC EIB) is a part of the N.C. Division of Child and Family Well Being. It is the lead agency for the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program (ITP). The Infant-Toddler Program provides supports and services for families and their children, birth to three who have special needs. Research shows that this time period is critical. It offers a window of opportunity to make a positive difference in how a child develops and learns. Children's Developmental Services Agencies (CDSAs) across North Carolina work with local service providers to help families help their children succeed. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of business and clerical support functions that allow the CDSA to maximize agency revenues and staff efficiency and comply with state and federal requirements. This position serves as a member of a team with shared work responsibilities including, reception duties, billing and reimbursement, providing clerical support to direct services staff, and creating and maintaining client medical records following applicable agency, state and federal laws and guidelines. The position is also responsible for data entry of client information in computer databases, responding to requests for client information from other agencies, and archiving records according to agency and state guidelines. Duties may be adjusted in response to staffing patterns and/or to meet the needs of the agency.
