About The Position

This Administrative Associate II position is located in Arbor Cottage of Murdoch Developmental Center. The role involves typing various documents such as letters, memorandums, and reports. The position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, managing a multi-line telephone system, compiling monthly staff schedules, balancing and reconciling figures, maintaining and updating individuals' financial accounts, and preparing and handling work orders. North Carolina Intervention (NCI), CPR, and First Aid certifications are required. All employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • North Carolina Intervention (NCI) certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a physical requirements test.
  • Must be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in the healthcare field.
  • Demonstrated work experience with electronic files and hard copies.
  • Experience with purchasing supplies.
  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize and organize time to accomplish work objectives.
  • Successful completion of the Murdoch Developmental Center “Basic Training Series” (program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting).

Responsibilities

  • Type the majority of documents including letters, memorandums, reports, and any other necessary correspondence in the division.
  • Greet and assist visitors.
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system.
  • Compile monthly staff schedules.
  • Balance and reconcile figures.
  • Maintain and update individuals' financial accounts.
  • Prepare and handle work orders.
