About The Position

LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice. The Administrative Assistant will provide functional operational and administrative support to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer within the Products/Services department. This department is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support core business operations and drive organizational growth. The person in this role must be able to interact with all members of the LSAC community, including executives, upper-level management, business partners, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, calm, resourceful, and efficient. This position requires a professional demeanor, sense of urgency, results-focus, technology competence, and the ability to keep sensitive business information strictly confidential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably as an executive administrative assistant, officer manager, or in a role with similar responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in execution and accountability for project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products required.
  • Database management, spreadsheet and presentation software experience required.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for emails, calls, and memos
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work in an accurate manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment without missing deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to VP/CIO and other team members, including assistance as needed with scheduling and planning remote and onsite meetings, completion and submission of expense reports, timesheet approval for department, coordination of travel, itineraries and authorizations, file management, ordering supplies, executing requests, preparing weekly agendas, and other duties as assigned.
  • Draft and revise documents and correspondence as requested by the VP/CIO.
  • Create, edit, and review documents and correspondence, spreadsheets/data, and PowerPoint presentations to catch errors and maintain accuracy.
  • Handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain privacy.
  • Maintain an on-going work plan for the position with a timeline for relevant tasks, index of document location(s), and SOPs for re-occurring responsibilities and tasks.
  • Provide operational and basic project management for key initiatives, e.g., keeping track of progress and managing communications with stakeholders.
  • Provide support in tracking budget, including managing and submitting invoices, purchase orders and reconciliations, and obtaining approvals.
  • Organize and determine priorities for incoming mail and phone calls. Make initial determination of contact and proper action to be taken. May draft correspondence or place outgoing calls to achieve desired results. Reviews completed correspondence for internal and external communications to ensure correct terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Other duties which may be assigned from time-to-time.
