About The Position

PD Power Systems seeks an Administrative Assistant to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals. The successful applicant will become part of PD Power Systems' Corporate Staff in the Springfield, VA headquarters. The candidate will be highly motivated with previous experience in customer service and administrative support. The position reports to the CEO.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years work experience in administrative support
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative writing skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Motivated to tackle problems and take on responsibility
  • Must be organized with an attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Government Contractor preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Share Point knowledge is a plus
  • InDesign and Photoshop is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars
  • Assist with travel arrangements
  • Receive deliveries and greet guests
  • Support purchasing and procurement (may act as backup Buyer)
  • Document editing and formatting
  • Maintain document delivery calendar and make submissions to customers
  • Keep employee training and certifications up to date
  • Maintain company website with updates as needed. Draft press releases.
  • Maintain office inventory (office supplies and pantry items) and schedule maintenance as needed for Springfield and Tampa offices
  • Maintain records of company assets (IT equipment, furniture, etc.)
  • Backup to Operation Manager's duties
