About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is searching for an innovative and energetic individual for an Administrative Assistant position. This role will provide executive administrative support to the Vice President, Finance - Seed. This person will perform complex administrative duties with minimal supervision. The nature and complexity of the work require technical expertise, resourcefulness, independent judgement, and decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload independently and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Confidentiality and discretion are a must. Candidate must have recent experience as an administrative professional supporting an executive level team. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. This role will be on site at the Johnston Corteva location 3 days a week (T/W/TH) and can be remote (M/F).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • 5 or more years of related experience supporting executive leadership.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to compose correspondence that is precise, clear and audience appropriate.
  • Able to maintain proper level of confidentiality and demonstrated professionalism.
  • Highly proficient skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom and OneNote.
  • Experienced with international travel planning. Includes passport, visa, global entry, immunization requirements and alignment with Corteva safety guidelines.
  • Ability to manage unexpected travel situations.
  • Experienced with meeting and event coordination for large and small groups – on campus as well as international locations.
  • Ability to navigate the Corteva systems and proxy approval processes.
  • Ability to work overtime or flexible hours to align with international time of co-workers, leadership, meetings, events, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a global team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors degree would be preferred.
  • Exposure to project management skills including the development, implementation and management of business projects and procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings and travel, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prevent conflicts.
  • Schedule 1:1 updates.
  • Monitor and provide input regarding schedule, ensuring regular meetings are conducted with direct reports, leadership teams and key business contacts.
  • Prepare agendas and ensure meeting materials are accurate and ready in advance.
  • Organize and facilitate in-person and virtual meetings; distribute actionable follow-ups.
  • Arrange domestic and international travel, prepare detailed itineraries, and process expense reports.
  • Coordinate logistics aligned with company safety requirements for travel.
  • Secure required travel Visas, passport renewals, global entry and monitor for immunization requirements for travel.
  • Support special projects by gathering data, monitoring progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Act as liaison between the VP and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication.
  • Filter requests and determine priorities requiring VP attention; manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Support the onboarding/offboarding of team members and contractors.
  • Serve as an information resource, ensuring information flow within the division and across the organization and with outside parties demonstrating strong communication skills, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners; represent leadership professionally.
  • Assist with budget tracking and project documentation to support departmental goals.
  • Be aware of company policies, including delegation of authority, and establish relationships with critical stakeholders to be able to clarify questions and support the organization when needed.
