About The Position

Flagship Culinary Services provides high-quality dining experiences for employees, clients, and visitors at large high-tech companies. Our staff prepare delicious and nutritious food from scratch, emphasizing local and organic ingredients. The Culinary Administrative Assistant will support the culinary operation by managing the Chefs' calendars and handling various administrative tasks. This role involves creating signage with ingredient and allergen information, using various applications, and communicating with management regarding supplies and uniforms. Additionally, the position includes managing employee timekeeping information.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active management level food handler certification (i.e., ServSafe and/or other local state required certification) and adhere to local food handlers’ requirements.
  • Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and allergens.
  • Must possess a strong understanding and knowledge of food and corporate kitchens.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word Document and Publisher) and G suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Calendar, etc).
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to diverse working environment.
  • Prioritizing multi assignments with time sensitivity.
  • Food knowledge/ understanding of industry terms and products.
  • High school diploma.
  • 1+ years of industry related experience.
  • Punctuality with good attendance and reliability.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of food allergens and ingredients is important.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Chefs calendar and various other admin responsibilities of the Culinary Operation.
  • Creating signage for the café with each ingredient listed along with allergens symbols if necessary.
  • Communicating with Management on the need and tracking of uniforms and operational supplies.
  • Inputting and maintenance of employee timekeeping information by processing manual timecards.
  • Organizing Culinary Operation’s calendar.
  • Monitor and organize Management Team’s schedule.
  • Creating weekly menu cards with allergens and proper ingredients used for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Meticulous with editing, proof reading and correcting weekly menus to ensure correct spelling, punctuation to distribute to the team.
  • Maintain office inventory & supplies and alerting the maintenance team to repair equipment’s to ensure safety.
  • Input & recap data entry of daily meal consumptions by employees and guests.
  • Input and organize order guides in collaboration with the Chefs/Purchaser.
  • Assist on creating & maintaining organizational tools and procedures for the team and the operation.
  • Record and transcribe meeting proceedings, highlighting essential information, decisions made, and next steps for timely team communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
