The Administrative Assistant works under the supervision of the Head of School (HOS)/Academic Dean and is responsible for assisting with a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative tasks. This role involves upholding the organization's beliefs, ensuring the HOS/Academic Dean is well-informed, prioritizing conflicting needs, and handling matters proactively with professional communication. The assistant will organize and prioritize information and calls, maintain appointment schedules, and organize complex activities like meetings, travel, telecommunications, and conferences. They will work independently and as part of a team on special projects, acting as a project manager when requested. The role requires initiative, judgment, and the ability to anticipate challenges and provide solutions, while working under demanding deadlines and multitasking in an active environment. Responsibilities include professionally welcoming visitors and callers, writing, editing, collating, and distributing school information, and assisting in planning and scheduling department events. The Administrative Assistant will also attend meetings and participate in professional development as requested, and perform other duties as assigned.
