About The Position

SleepWorks Medical is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for processing extended health benefit claims and providing administrative support, while also assisting with reception coverage and other office duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience in a medical environment is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage extended health benefit claims and related documentation
  • Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare professionals regarding coverage and claims as well as communicating with doctor’s offices for signed paperwork
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Maintain accurate patient and billing records
  • Provide reception relief when needed, including answering phones, greeting patients, and scheduling appointments
  • Assist with patient inquiries and follow-up communications
