About The Position

At Tom James Company, an Assistant supports our sales team members, store leaders, and key organizational leaders in fulfilling our mission to be a global leader in the fashion industry. An Assistant is a valued member of the Tom James sales support team. We currently have a part-time opening in our New York, NY office for a Senior Sales Leader. Our position is for 40 hours per week at $26-$30 per hour, based on qualifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Slack and Asana (or similar task-management tool) preferred
  • A motivated problem solver who is comfortable being flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Two years administrative experience is preferred
  • Experience with a sales-oriented environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining a system for keeping track of all inventory, as well as timelines for orders in process
  • Prepping clothing to be delivered and assuring quality of all arriving inventory
  • Work with CRM and order system to assist with alterations, returns, and delivery of clothing
  • Occasionally attending client appointments with sales professional when extra assistance is needed
  • Client-facing Communication: Providing excellent and timely customer service for any client questions pertaining to their orders and appointments
  • Setting up appointments and managing follow-up reminders
  • Arranging pick-ups and deliveries with clients
  • Problem solving for client issues that come up
  • Providing administrative support to sales professional
  • Creating efficient processes for communication and organization
  • Coordinating daily schedule of both client and intraoffice meetings
  • Interface with factories, home office, and outside vendors on a regular basis
  • Assist with payments and order entry
  • Helping to keep selling materials, such as fabrics, organized
  • Assist with wardrobe coordination for clients on occasion
  • Some personal assistance on occasional basis
  • Prospecting new clients: Using internet and social media, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Zoom Info for potential client research
  • Entering leads into proprietary system
  • Sending introductory and promotional messages
  • Creating call lists/hot lists for client meetings
  • Maintaining a professional image to interface with high-end clientele
