The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a variety of administrative, developmental, operational, and other activities in support of agency work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of job-related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing phone calls for the assigned office; refers complaints and concerns with offenders, offender’s families, criminal justice system members and the general public to the appropriate staff.
  • Creates and/or prepares letters, memos, forms, meeting schedules, reports, etc., using word processing, spreadsheet, and database and/or presentation software.
  • Maintains data logs in established software programs and produces statistical information upon request.
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings as requested; makes all necessary travel arrangements for staff as requested.
  • Has daily initial contact with offenders, visitors, and others who may be hostile or under the influence of substances.
