About The Position

The Administrative Assistant for The School of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training is part of the administrative team and provides essential day-to-day operational support to students, faculty and Program Directors. This role is student and faculty interfacing and focuses on the needs of the School, ranging from general office support, resource management, event coordination and support, student fundraising, and student worker supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a general office setting or higher education setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workplace and file management systems (e.g., Box).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty and Directors.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills in problem solving and decision making.
  • Asks questions and seeks assistance.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and continue to work without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for student and faculty questions and resource needs
  • Maintains academic calendars, class schedules, and student rosters
  • Assists with room reservations
  • Provides students with fundraising guidance per policies and procedures
  • Oversees and provides guidance to the FWS lab maintenance student team
  • Provides support to the Coordinator of Clinical Education for the MSAT program
  • Takes meeting minutes for MSAT and DPT programs
  • Facilitates with registration and MSAT course evaluations
  • Maintains office, classroom and lab supply inventories
  • Maintains office equipment
  • Submits and monitors facility request
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Administrative Services and/or the Program Directors.
