Requirements

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and obtaining state licensure to practice in Michigan.
  • Strong background in physical therapy, with a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques and patient management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and patient management skills.
  • Ability to create individualized rehabilitation plans that truly make a difference.
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in physical therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, combining medical history, diagnostic tests, and hands-on observation to create the most accurate picture possible.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation plans that go beyond just the basics—aim for strength, mobility, and real progress.
  • Use manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to get patients back to moving like they should.
  • Monitor patients’ progress closely and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Work with providers and the rest of the healthcare team to ensure patients are getting the most holistic, comprehensive care possible.
  • Show patients and their families how to continue treatment at home with personalized exercises and mobility techniques, and teach them how to prevent injuries and take control of their health.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records on patient progress, treatment plans, and any adjustments made.
  • Oversee physical therapy assistants or aides to ensure they are delivering care that meets Epic’s high standards and aligns with treatment goals.
