About The Position

Franklin Pierce University invites applications and nominations for the Open Rank Faculty Member position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Goodyear. Franklin Pierce University seeks a collaborative faculty member who specializes in outpatient neurological care and management of vestibular conditions. Experience in managing pediatric conditions is a plus for an applicant. The applicant must be committed to the profession of Physical Therapy and to the inclusive excellence of our students. Reporting to the Director of the DPT Program, the DPT Faculty member will play a key role in shaping the next generation of physical therapists. This full-time, 12-month, hybrid faculty position involves curriculum development, delivery, and assessment, as well as student advisement, leadership in service to the university and profession, community outreach, and scholarly engagement. The position will also involve Clinical Education as an assistant to our Clinical Team. Additionally, there may be opportunities to serve as a lab instructor or teach modules within courses. New faculty for the DPT in AZ will join a well-established hybrid program that is committed to providing evidence-based educational practice.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree preferred (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.Sc.)
  • Certification (NCS, PCS) and experience in Neurological Physical Therapy.
  • Physical Therapy licensure in Arizona or eligibility (license obtained within 90 days of employment).
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrate effective and innovative teaching in academia (full-time or adjunct) or in clinical settings (Clinical Instructor).
  • Expertise in the management of outpatient neurologic care and the management of vestibular conditions.
  • Experience in neurologic care across the continuum of care.
  • Willingness to travel for university-related purposes, if required.

  • Experience in managing pediatric conditions.
  • Pediatric experience is a positive in an application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum for DPT students.

  • Potentially serve as a lab instructor or teach course modules.
  • Assist in Clinical Education as part of the administrative workload release time
