About The Position

This position acts as an administrative assistant to the Building Principal at Oxford High School. It requires initiative, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and analytical thinking. The role relies heavily on organizational skills, effective communication, and a desire to be part of a school team.

Requirements

  • Experience with PowerSchool.
  • Experience with Infinite Visions.

  • Ability to adjust schedule as needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Secretarial support including managing calendar, scheduling meetings, clerical work, data entry, and communication systems management.
  • Front office management including providing assistance to visitors, students, and staff in person, via phone, and email; maintaining and organizing office supplies; coordinating with outside organizations that use our facilities; maintaining employee absence system and assisting building administration with coverage.
  • Assisting with school budget and maintaining fiscal records, including preparing and submitting requisitions, making deposits, and maintaining bank records.
  • Maintaining building and department inventory records and supply orders; preparing requisitions, checking in merchandise, and arranging for purchase order payment; preparing budget and purchasing reports for administration and department heads as needed.
  • Registration of new students, ensuring all appropriate paperwork has been submitted.
  • Assisting administration in maintaining the master building schedule, class counts and lists, classroom supply lists, and other scheduling/demographic information in PowerSchool.
  • Maintaining student records, handling record requests, and assisting with school, district, and state reporting as appropriate.
  • Undertaking special projects at the request of the school administrator that may require initiative in the identification, research, and collection of data, and presentation of data.
  • Working with faculty, parents, and students in a professional manner.
  • Working independently and being a self-starter.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by administration.
