About The Position

One Medical is a primary care solution focused on making quality care more affordable, accessible, and enjoyable. After joining Amazon in February 2023, One Medical continues to grow and work toward improving health outcomes for consumers, employers, care team members, and health networks. As a Member Support Specialist (Administrative Assistant), you will serve as an in-office ambassador for patients, helping remove barriers to care and providing an exceptional patient experience. Success in the role calls for strong communication, empathy, customer-focused problem solving, adaptability, and a commitment to helping patients and teammates. This is a full-time, in-person role based at One Medical’s Financial District locations. The schedule is 40 hours per week, in 8-hour shifts from Monday through Friday, with scheduling between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM. The base pay is $24.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency with computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Use C-I-CARE in patient interactions and support a positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, follow-up scheduling, billing and insurance knowledge, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary.
  • Perform front-of-house duties, including check-in and check-out, insurance verification, printing and paperwork, test preparation, and tasking to service-level expectations.
  • Contribute to team development by rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem solving, and supporting in-office providers with ad hoc requests.
  • Learn and use the technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and the 1Life Electronic Medical Record System, to communicate with team members and patients and complete daily work.
  • Perform opening and closing duties and daily office upkeep, including maintaining patient- and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organizing the office.
