About The Position

The Administrative Assistant is accountable to provide confidential administrative support to the Directors they are assigned to. This position supports, and contributes to, processes and practices to ensure the efficient operation of the portfolio(s), through accurate, timely and efficient execution of confidential administrative support functions for Directors. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and cooperative manner, with all members of the administrative team to assist in accomplishing the Saskatchewan Health Authority's objectives. The incumbent co-ordinates workflow with other administration support staff and, in their absence, may provide support services as requested.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant-type role
  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by a recognized business course or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate Computer Skills

  • Interpersonal skills
  • Can maintain confidentiality including confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to be self-directed
  • Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce

  • Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
  • Excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships
  • Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
  • Working knowledge of SHA governance/org structure/relationships
  • Knowledge & experience in minute taking & synthesizing information
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure

  • Provide confidential administrative support to assigned Directors.
  • Support and contribute to processes and practices for efficient operation of portfolios.
