About The Position

The Administrative Assistant works under the supervision of the Head of School (HOS)/Academic Dean and is responsible for assisting with a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative tasks. This role involves managing schedules, organizing information, handling communications, and supporting special projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to multitask in a demanding environment, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • College level coursework in business, word processing, and office procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Upholds CECs beliefs.
  • Ensures the HOS/Academic Dean is well informed of commitments, responsibilities, and other matters requiring attention.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs and handles matters proactively with timely professional communication.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.
  • Maintains appointment schedules for the HOS/Academic Dean.
  • Organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, telecommunications, and conferences.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Acts as project manager for special projects at the request of the HOS/Academic Dean.
  • Uses initiative and judgment to anticipate potential challenges and provide solutions.
  • Works under demanding deadlines and multi-tasks in an active environment.
  • Professionally welcomes a diverse group of important external callers and visitors, as well as internal staff.
  • Writes, edits, collates, and distributes school information to students, parents/guardians, and staff.
  • Assists in planning and scheduling department events and activities.
  • Maintains calendar of department events.
  • Attends related meetings as requested by the HOS/Academic Dean.
  • Participates in professional development as requested by the HOS/Academic Dean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
