About The Position

The Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Director, provides administrative support to the Education, Training and Capacity Department. This includes maintaining an organized filing system, managing office supplies, and coordinating photos for career and training programs. The role also involves assisting with program delivery, workshops, and fairs, as well as developing communications and advertising to support departmental projects. Additionally, the Assistant manages the department’s database, ensuring accurate data entry and conducting quarterly uploads to ESDC. The position also involves maintaining client records, participating in stakeholder meetings, and delivering presentations to community groups as needed. As the database expert, the Administrative Assistant communicates with the vendor to resolve issues and implement updates.

Requirements

  • Must be a Beneficiary of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA).
  • Grade 12 or some post-secondary education preferably in a related field or; Two years of related work experience in administration.
  • Experience is a must in Microsoft Office Programs especially Excel.
  • Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.

  • Experience working with database programs considered an asset.
