About The Position

Signode is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support and ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role supports managers and employees by handling various organizational and communication tasks. The position requires decision-making, creativity in accomplishing goals, and the ability to manage confidential and time-sensitive data. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Teams, and Outlook 365.
  • Working knowledge/reading of fractions to decimals and vice versa.
  • Ability to convert Metric to Standard.
  • Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • Working knowledge of an MRP system (Order Entry).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft D365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones in a courteous manner, route calls, take messages, answer routine inquiries, and provide general information.
  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • File, type, copy, mail, organize, and schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Maintain the plant electronic filing system.
  • Prepare Bill of Ladings, load lists, and Pro-labels for shipments.
  • Create, track, and issue purchase orders for plant, maintenance, and office supplies.
  • Process invoices, including logging, GL coding, scanning, and uploading for AP.
  • Log daily scrap bale reports into the tracking system.
  • Issue and track weekly cycle counts for packaging supplies, glue, and paper inventory.
  • Track safety data, including collecting and logging safety inspections, forklift, PPE, HazRec, and machine guarding.
  • Manage administrative projects, such as refreshing JSA’s, LOTO, and SDS.
  • Assist with monthly physical inventory by processing data entry for the monthly inventory report and worksheet for physical paper count, and data entry from paper tracker to inventory report for paper & glue purchases, finish goods, and pounds shipped.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Act as backup for CSR and other administrative roles through cross-training.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager.
