The Administrative Assistant for Communications will provide administrative support to the Director of Communications, as well as the Communications Team and iCampus Online Ministry areas.

  • Demonstrates a high proficiency in integrating, coordinating, communicating, and delegating work functions and responsibilities
  • Competent and proficient in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn Shelby (Accounting), eSpace (Facilities Management), and Aegis (CRM) software
  • Must have a minimum of 2 – 4 years of prior Administrative Assistant experience
  • Must have a High School diploma, preferably a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Must be able to sit for long periods
  • Some lifting and pushing heavy carts
  • Requires viewing a computer screen for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Communications with planning, coordination, and implementation of assigned duties
  • Manage communications, scheduling, travel, meetings, and calendars for the Director of Communications
  • Oversee special projects and events for the Communications Ministry as assigned
  • Manage credit card transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting for various ministry areas
  • Maintain kitchen supplies for the departments
  • Coordinate quarterly volunteer luncheons for the Online Ministry Director
  • Process purchase orders, check requests, and connect with accounting to ensure proper coding and payment clarification
  • Print documents for weekly executive and ministry staff meetings
  • Manage daily mail and order snacks for PTV Fulfillment Volunteers
  • Collaborate with other church ministries and external entities
  • Must support relief of duties at the receptionist desk on a rotating basis for coverage
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Communications and PTV Ministry leadership
