Planet Reimagined is seeking an organized, proactive, and collaborative part-time, 1099 Contractor to step into the role of Communications Assistant. About the Role As Planet Reimagined continues to scale its global campaigns and research initiatives, our digital footprint is expanding rapidly. The Communications Assistant is a part-time position designed to provide critical operational backbone to our digital outreach. We are seeking a process-oriented, tech-savvy, and driven individual to manage our digital assets, support content workflows, and track performance analytics. This role is ideal for someone looking to sharpen their digital marketing skills while contributing directly to a high-impact climate advocacy organization.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in digital communications, marketing, copywriting, or a closely related field.
- Adaptable, tech-savvy, and highly organized, with an eagerness to master new tools and systems in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- Hands-on experience executing email campaigns (Mailchimp highly preferred) and pulling digital metrics (Google Analytics preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to troubleshoot tech tools and explore creative digital layouts.
- Excellent written communication, proofreading, and detail-oriented formatting skills.
Nice To Haves
- Passion for climate action, environmental sustainability, and/or grassroots advocacy.
- Background working within nonprofit organizations or purpose-driven campaigns.
- Basic technical familiarity with CSS, front-end editing, or web management within the Squarespace platform.
- Ability to contribute toward a healthy and collaborative work culture committed to shared purpose, clear communication, and collective impact.
Responsibilities
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of our primary digital pillars, including our website, social media channels, and email newsletters, in alignment with our overarching growth strategy.
- Organize, maintain, and optimize internal systems for managing digital files, media kits, and brand communications assets to ensure seamless team access.
- Assist in the creation, formatting, and scheduling of engaging content for social media channels and external newsletters.
- Support routine website management updates, layout tweaks, and content refreshes to ensure our digital presence is accurate and engaging.
