About The Position

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT , Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health , to provide advanced, complex administrative support for Professor Regina Barzilay and related Jameel Clinic activities. Will manage complex calendar scheduling, domestic and international travel, visitor logistics, reimbursements, procurement and purchasing of equipment and supplies, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, account follow-up, meetings, seminars, workshops, and high-profile events; serve as a senior point of contact for faculty, students, researchers, visitors, collaborators, vendors, and MIT offices; draft and edit correspondence and meeting materials; track deadlines, action items, and recurring administrative processes; maintain records and shared documentation; and handle confidential information with discretion, tact, and sound judgment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years of administrative, office, or related experience
  • Excellent organizational, writing, communication, interpersonal, and follow-through skills
  • Experience managing complex calendars, travel, events, reimbursements, purchasing, and administrative processes
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, manage competing priorities, anticipate needs, solve problems, and handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Advanced computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, shared document systems, and online collaboration tools
