About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 for the School of Public Health, specifically to support the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technology (CASAT). This role involves providing customer service and logistical support for both in-person and virtual learning events. Key responsibilities include managing the CASAT Learning Platform calendar and website, handling event registrations, distributing certificates, and maintaining databases and records. The position will also process guest speaker and independent contractor agreements and payments, edit purchasing card statements, provide travel support, and maintain transaction receipts. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant 3 will assist the CASAT Learning Manager with scheduling, filing confidential documents, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
