About The Position

Provides administrative support in various functional areas to support management and facilitate the daily work. Assist in program or departmental direction by relieving supervision of routine administrative duties. Provides information, prepares correspondence and reports, maintain calendars, monitor budget expenditures for the department, and resolves administrative problems.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in business management, secretarial sciences or related field required.
  • Must have Six (6) months administrative and/or secretarial experience performing similar duties for an upper-level management position required or a combination of experience and education will be accepted in lieu of higher education.
  • Expected to manage confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all times, including FERPA.
  • Must be flexible, able to multi-task and manage multiple high priority demands, and rearrange priorities as needed. Demonstrated skill in time management is required.
  • Knowledge of organizational and general office procedures and operations and the ability to analyze and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of the methods, principles and techniques associated with research, data collection and report writing.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures and the procedures and practices of preparing and controlling operating and capital budgets.
  • Knowledge of contract development, administration, and monitoring, as required.
  • Knowledge and ability in the use of computers and peripheral equipment such as printers.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and write reports.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and equitably with people and to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to use personal computers and applications necessary to collect and analyze data and access and produce budget and procurement documents and changes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and carry out written and/or verbal instruction; detail oriented and accurate.
  • Ability to attend meetings.
