About The Position

Apply to be an Administrative Assistant 1 with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. This role performs administrative staff work for our Office of Research and Safety Initiatives (ORSI), Children's Advocacy Center Advisory Committee (CACAC), and related grant programs, committees, and workgroups. You will help organize and analyze key information while ensuring that administrative and collaborative processes run smoothly. This position provides administrative and analytical assistance for key Commission initiatives including the CACAC’s mission to support children’s advocacy centers and multidisciplinary investigative teams that promote prevention, treatment, and justice for victims of child sexual abuse and child abuse. It helps maintain efficient and smooth processes for agency operations, grant activities, and committee responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing administrative, grant management, and related operational procedures to identify issues, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Assess and track grant applications’ status, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures and communicate findings that require follow-up; provide administrative support for grant management activities
  • Direct administrative processes to help prepare committee matters for higher level review; coordinate meeting and event scheduling, logistics, and travel arrangements and prepare meeting materials
  • Research, compile, evaluate, and summarize administrative and program information; prepare reports, charts, and other informational materials; and develop and maintain databases and tracking systems
  • Serve as an administrative liaison between ORSI, CACAC, and stakeholders; respond to routine administrative and program-process inquiries; and research more complex inquiries for review
