About The Position

As an Administrative Assistant 1 with the Department of Environmental Protection, you will help keep essential operations within the Bonding Section of the Division of Contracts, Procurement and Bonding, Bureau of Office Services on track. The work you will do supports teams that protect natural resources across the state. Step into a career where your attention to detail truly matters. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support that helps manage bonding activities across several environmental programs. You will support the safe and responsible operation of programs that oversee bonds and financial assurances.

Requirements

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Review bonding documents for accuracy and compliance with program rules
  • Maintain records of collateral, surety bonds, and related financial instruments
  • Update and track bond information in electronic systems
  • Work with operators, legal staff, and program offices to resolve bond issues
  • Prepare, organize, and transmit documents for bond approvals and releases

In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg . The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
