About The Position

The Pennsylvania Board of Pardons (BOP) is looking for an administrative professional to join their team. This position focuses on providing administrative and office support to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This role supports the Board of Pardons by reviewing applications, preparing case materials, and maintaining accurate records. It ensures clear communication with applicants, representatives, and agencies throughout each step of the process.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • One or more years of experience with reviewing processes and procedures within an office setting.
  • One or more years of experience entering and tracking data within a website/database.
  • One or more years of experience maintaining and retaining records.
  • One or more years of experience reviewing documentation received from outside organizations for accuracy.
  • One or more years of experience in community outreach.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Examine clemency applications and request additional information when needed
  • Organize investigative reports and verify crime information for merit review
  • Record Governor decisions, prepare notifications, and send required memos
  • Use systems to obtain criminal history documents, dockets, and related records
  • Provide clear guidance to applicants, representatives, and partner agencies
  • Assist with retention, archiving, and completion of special assignments
