About The Position

Reporting to the Finance Department, you will be responsible for monitoring and collecting Leaseweb Canada’s accounts receivable. Your primary objective will be to help reduce the average collection period and the number of bad debts while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach. You will work closely with the Sales team, Account Managers, customers, and external collection agencies.

Requirements

  • Education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and confidence using accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
  • A rigorous and disciplined approach, with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A professional, diplomatic, and customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor outstanding balances and communicate with customers to secure payment of overdue accounts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of overdue customer accounts and, when necessary, coordinate files assigned to collection agencies.
  • Prepare and issue certain customer invoices and respond to billing-related inquiries.
  • Produce monthly reports on accounts receivable aging and bad debts.
  • Maintain the accounts receivable subledger and perform the necessary reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and accounts receivable reports.
  • Analyze and reconcile billing cycles to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or potential fraud risks.
  • Prepare certain journal entries and contribute to reconciling intercompany transactions and consolidating financial accounts.
