The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate all tasks involved with incoming and outgoing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and general practice residents (GPR). The OMFS residency program is a six-year program that includes a two-year rotation through the medical school. There are three new OMFS residents that enter the program each year. The general practice residency program is a one-year program that has six new residents each year. Due to the nature of UNC being a teaching university, coordinating all aspects of the students is critical to ensuring each resident remains in compliance with the standards of the program. This position requires the incumbent to work closely with the Graduate Medical Office and work in their database.
