About The Position

The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support for the Master of Public Policy (MPP) Program and the Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good (CIPG). Duties will include managing the administrative functions of the Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good, such as: Admissions (manage application cycles; receive and distribute applications for Advisory Board review; coordinate information sessions for prospective applicants; and input, track, and compile student data for reports); Communications (respond to inquiries from prospective and current certificate students, create and distribute feedback surveys, manage scheduling and communication with the Certificate advisory board); and Events (assist students in planning and executing Community of Practice requirements, coordinate student socials, create marketing materials, oversee annual research symposium). This position will also provide administrative support for the MPP program, including career and internship search support, weekly newsletters, and other special projects as assigned. The person in this position will work approximately 32 weeks out of the academic year, August through May.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administrative functions of the Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good (CIPG), including admissions, communications, and events.
  • Manage application cycles for the CIPG program.

  • Provide career and internship search support for MPP students.
  • Prepare weekly newsletters for the MPP program.
  • Assist with other special projects as assigned.
