About The Position

At BRC, our staff help New Yorkers experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives by providing a hand up, offering opportunities for health and self-sufficiency, and restoring hope and dignity. Requirements

  • At least two years experience performing secretarial and administrative functions, in an office setting, or at least two years of college/ Associates degree in related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work in a non-conventional office environment.
  • Have knowledge of MS office systems, Word and Excel.
  • Fire Safety and First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to pass test to acquire these credentials required.

Nice To Haves

  • Vaccination preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to staff in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the program.
  • Answering main phone system.
  • Typing correspondence.
  • Preparing specialized reports and schedules.
  • Maintaining appropriate filing systems.
  • Related duties as assigned.
