About The Position
The Adjunctive Therapist supports the department by providing quality assessment and comprehensive psychotherapeutic group activities for patients hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric and emotional disorders. As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, the therapist supports the unit’s treatment program and philosophy and helps assure the delivery of quality care.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as activity therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or occupational therapy.
- One year of experience in a behavioral field.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality assessment and comprehensive psychotherapeutic group activities for hospitalized patients receiving treatment for psychiatric and emotional disorders.
- Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, supporting the unit’s treatment program and philosophy and the delivery of quality care.
