About The Position

This position involves teaching TMA 384 Practicum: Cinematic Skills - Storyboarding. The instructor will follow a provided syllabus but may submit their own for consideration. Responsibilities include managing the classroom and the digital learning management system (Learning Suite, etc.) connected to the class, and meeting with students outside of class as needed. The position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • BA or BFA in film and/or visual media studies/production, or a closely related field (degree must be completed by the start date)
  • Two-plus (2+) years of professional experience in storyboarding
  • Demonstrable understanding of and experience in storyboarding for live action Film, TV, and Media
  • Knowledge of TV, Film, and Media sets best practices
  • Understanding of storyboarding’s usage anywhere in the production workflow pipeline
  • Successful candidate must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
