About The Position

This position involves teaching Foundations of Multicultural Education courses for elementary and early childhood education programs (El Ed 203). The candidate must be available to teach on-campus daytime classes (8am-4pm) and meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the university. The position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend. All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree must be in elementary or early childhood education, multicultural education, or related field from an accredited university.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Expertise in multicultural education at elementary/early childhood levels.
  • Successful experience as a licensed K-12 public school classroom teacher, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate MUST be available to teach on-campus daytime classes (8am-4pm).
