About The Position

Adjunct Teaching position for Teacher Education, specifically for the ECE 447 course. The primary instructor will be responsible for teaching the "Teaching Math Pre-K-3" course within the early childhood education program. This role requires the candidate to be available for on-campus daytime classes and to meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the university. The position also requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend. All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree must be in elementary education or early childhood education, math education, or a related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Expertise in mathematics education at elementary and/or early childhood education levels.
  • Successful experience as a licensed K-12 public school classroom teacher, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate MUST be available to teach on-campus daytime classes (8am-4pm).
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
