About The Position

This position involves teaching the Family, Schools and Communities course (ECE 430) for the early childhood education program. The successful candidate will be expected to meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the university. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend. All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree must be in elementary education or early childhood education, or a related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Expertise in elementary and/or early childhood education teaching.
  • Successful experience as a licensed K-12 public school classroom teacher, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • If a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • Must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
