About The Position

The position is for an Adjunct Instructor in Teacher Education, specifically to teach ECE 334 (Intro to Early Childhood Ed) and/or ECE 200 (Foundations of Early Childhood Ed) for early childhood and elementary education programs. The candidate must be available to teach on-campus daytime classes between 8 am and 4 pm and meet appropriate university dress and conduct standards. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree must be in elementary or early childhood education or a related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Expertise in early childhood education methods and practices.
  • Successful experience as a licensed K-12 public school classroom teacher, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • MUST be available to teach on-campus daytime classes (8am-4pm).
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Responsibilities
