About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Teaching role in the School of Music, specifically for Music 160R: Oboe. The role involves teaching weekly oboe lessons, assisting in preparation for recitals, attending semester-end juries, overseeing weekly oboe studio class, and teaching an introduction to oboe for non-oboist Music Education majors. The position also includes coaching chamber music as assigned. A firm commitment to the mission of BYU and the School of Music is required, along with leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in music or related field required (completed by start date)
  • Professional/teaching experience required

  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment
