About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Professor in the Finance Department, focusing on Finance and serving as a Brigham Capital Advisor. The role involves facilitating learning by engaging with students during lectures, providing expert insights into public equity investments, and mentoring student leaders. The Adjunct Professor will collaborate with student leaders to ensure a cohesive learning experience and advise on investment pitches by asking critical thinking questions without influencing specific investment decisions. Additionally, the role includes sharing career guidance and experiences in public equity investing. The Adjunct Professor is not expected to lead classes or manage student projects, but feedback and insights are encouraged. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Requirements

  • BA in Finance or related field.
  • Evidence of associated work experience in public equity investing.
  • Must submit a Curriculum Vitae.
  • Must submit a Cover Letter.
  • Must provide three recommenders with their individual contact information.
  • Must submit a Mission Alignment Statement.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Engage with students during class lectures by answering questions and providing expert insights into the nuances of public equity investments.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with student leaders to discuss class dynamics, offering guidance on investment strategies and processes.
  • Work closely with student leaders to ensure a cohesive learning experience, contributing to class discussions with professional insights where appropriate.
  • Advise on investment pitches by asking questions that encourage critical thinking and deeper understanding among students without swaying the class one way or another.
  • Share experiences and advice about building a successful career in public equity investing, including discussing the challenges and opportunities in the field.
  • Provide feedback and insights on student projects.
