About The Position

This position involves instructing beginning, intermediate, or advanced Jazz technique and theory classes within the Dance Department. The instructor will be responsible for maintaining office hours commensurate with their teaching load and attending faculty meetings as called. The role requires instructing multiple classes per week.

Requirements

  • BA or BFA required; MFA in Dance preferred.
  • Degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Two years of teaching in a studio, college, or university setting preferred.
  • Must list contact information for three recommenders at the time of application.
  • Must attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
