About The Position

We seek an adjunct ballet instructor in the Department of Dance. The candidate’s primary duty will be to teach ballet at any level, beginning, intermediate, and advanced, commensurate with the candidate's level of expertise and the needs of the ballet area. The candidate will be working under the ballet area coordinator and should be willing to improve their teaching through feedback and professional development. Required meetings will include company auditions, university conference, monthly area meetings, and any additional meetings as called by the coordinator.

Requirements

  • BA/BS/BFA required; MFA preferred.
  • Teaching Ballet at a pre-professional and/or university level.
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • Abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
