About The Position

The Department of Dance is seeking an adjunct ballet instructor. The primary duty of this role will be to teach ballet at any level (beginning, intermediate, and advanced), depending on the candidate's expertise and the needs of the ballet program. The instructor will work under the ballet area coordinator and should be open to improving their teaching through feedback and professional development. Required meetings include company auditions, university conferences, monthly area meetings, and any additional meetings called by the coordinator. Candidates may be invited to teach a ballet technique class as part of the interview process. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • BA/BS/BFA required; MFA preferred.
  • Teaching Ballet at a pre-professional and/or university level.
  • Must have completed the required degree by the start date.
  • List the individual contact information for each of your three recommenders on the faculty application.
  • Attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

  • MFA preferred.
